  3. you should use the steel in your knife set to hone your knife after each use. Sharpening a knife removes small pieces of metal from a worn dull blade and reshapes the edge.

    Honing actually straightens the edges teeth; maintaining it’s bite! Honing also keeps the edges sharp for a longer period of time. This preventive measure will make it so you have to sharpen less frequently.
